      Hastings Drug Bust Leads to 12 Arrests

      The Hastings Police Department has arrested 11 people on drug-related charges following a 15-month investigation by the CANDO Drug Task Force.

      • Bethel Winters, 68, of 511 West 6th St. #1, was arrested on a warrant for possessing a legend drug -- a Class 3 misdemeanor.
      • Glenn Brown Jr., 44, of 511 West 6th St. #1, was arrested on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance -- a Class 3 felony.
      • Benjamin Spicknall, 19, of 750 N. Minnesota Ave., was arrested on a warrant for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance -- a Class 3 felony.
      • James Woodard Jr., 27, of 416 N. St. Joseph Ave. #208, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance -- a Class 3 felony.
      • Dylan Freeburg, 18, of 1210 East 6th St., was arrested on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance -- Class 3 felony.
      • Jonathan Anaya, 42, of 416 South Kansas Ave. #2, was arrested on a warrant for delivery of a controlled substance -- a Class 3 felony.
      • Kyle Kloke, 19, of 1214 East 6th St., was arrested on a warrant for four counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one count of aiding and abetting a Class 3 felony -- a Class 3 felony.
      • Aaron Sullivan, 19, of 1139 West 6th St., was arrested on a warrant for two counts of delivery of an exceptionally hazardous drug -- a Class 2 felony.
      • Michael Bennett, 19, of 316 North Jefferson Ave., was arrested on a warrant for four counts of delivery of a controlled substance -- a Class 3 felony.
      • Lance Wolfe, 25, of 2313 West 7th St., was arrested on a warrant for aiding and abetting a Class 3 Felony -- a Class 3 felony.
      • Krieg Ready, 19, of 1131 North Baltimore Ave., was arrested on a warrant for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance -- a Class 3 felony.
      • At one arrest location, Edward Petty, 34, of 800 S. Denver Ave., was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

      During these arrests, various drugs and paraphernalia were seized.

      During a search warrant served at 914 S. Hastings Ave. #1, illegal drugs, paraphernalia and other items were seized.

      The member agencies involved in CANDO include the police departments in Hastings, Grand Island, Kearney, Holdrege, Minden and Franklin; the sheriff's departments in Adams, Hall, Buffalo, Phelps, Kearney and Franklin counties; and the Nebraska State Patrol.

      This investigation continues and additional arrested are anticipated.
