Two Pennsylvania men were taken to the Cheyenne County jail Friday after a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol found more than 100 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle.
The trooper stopped on eastbound Interstate 80 in Cheyenne County after seeing a SUV improperly parked on the side of the road, where the driver was urinating.
The trooper searched the 2013 Chevy Traverse after smelling marijuana in the vehicle. He found 127 pounds of marijuana in three large bags in the cargo area of the SUV, as well as one pound of hashish and a small amount of cocaine.
The driver, 23-year-old Kenneth Turner, of Pittsburgh, Penn., and passenger, 30-year-old Gabriel Nowak, of Finleyville, Penn., were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
Turner was also charged with public urination.
