15 y/o Who Allegedly Strangled Jail Guard Pleads Guilty for Robbery

A 15-year-old Wyoming boy charged with killing a Nebraska jail guard has pleaded guilty to the crime that originally landed him behind bars.

On Friday Dylan Cardeilhac pleaded guilty to robbery in Scotts Bluff County District Court in Gering.

According to prosecutors, Cardeilhac, along with another 14-year-old, robbed a convenience store in Mitchell back in December. The other boy has not been caught.

While behind bars for robbery Cardeilhac allegedly strangled a 24-year-old jail guard. Authorities said he lured Baker into his jail cell and then pounced on her, strangling her from behind.

He has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in the slaying of the guard Amanda Baker on Feb. 14.

His sentencing for the Robbery charge is scheduled for May 22.
