      A Bittersweet 94th Annual Kearney Chamber Banquet

      Local businesses were honored Tuesday night at the 94th annual Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce banquet.

      It was a bittersweet night while this event is all about local businesses, this will also be the last banquet that chamber executive director Jan Rodehorst will be in charge.

      NTV's Seth Denney emceed the event cracking a few jokes, and the night was filled with laughs, tears and celebrating businesses.

      "It really is a celebration of all the successes we have in Kearney and certainly the success are numerous. We've got a great business climate," said Kearney Mayor Stan Clouse.

      "This job has been a great challenge, opportunity, blessing. I've enjoyed every minute of it," said Rodehorst reflecting on her five years with the chamber.

      On Thursday there will be a formal goodbye for Rodehorst. She says right now she just wants to focus on her other businesses that she owns with her husband.
