UPDATED A Rash of Vandalism in North Platte Totals $62,000 in Damages
An outbreak of vandalism is plaguing Nebraska businesses, reports the North Platte Police Department (NPPD).
As of Monday, the NPPD has received approximately 200 incident reports surrounding the recent rash of vandalism to vehicle and business windows.
The damage reportedly caused by BB guns has been valued at approximately $62,000.
This is only a preliminary count, as some incidents are still being investigated, and not all official estimates from damages are in.
Victims of this criminal mischief, who have reported damages should collect an estimate from a business responsible for glass repair and submit it to the NPPD.

Two arrests were made Tuesday in regards to this vandalism case.
Justin Belsky, 20, has been charged with 199 counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief and one count of felony criminal mischief.
In addition to Belsky, a 17-year-old juvenile was also cited for 199 counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief and two counts of felony criminal mischief.
Belsky has already been processed and released.
