Arizona Sen. McCain Stops In Omaha to Support Fischer's Campaign

Arizona senator John McCain says he and other republicans are aware that the U.S. senate race in Nebraska has tightened but they are confident that Deb Fischer will come out on top.

McCain briefly stopped in Omaha today to bolster Fischer's campaign while discussing his endorsement of her.

Deb Fischer says the election is an important one, all because of Nebraska.

Fischer said, "Every vote counts in this election. It is so important not just for the state. This is important for our country as well. If we're trying to change the direction the country is headed, it comes through Nebraska."

McCain is scheduled to fly to Ohio later Friday for a campaign rally with republican presidential nominee mitt Romney.

Congressman Adrian Smith was also with Fischer today.
