Art in the Park Draws Crowds in Hastings

In its seventh year, organizers said there was a good turnout for Hastings' Art in the Park on Sunday.

Forty vendors showed off pottery, canvas and metal art at Libs Park.

The Adams County Convention and Visitors Bureau took the event over from its founder two years ago and has been in charge ever since.

"It's a great event for the community. It really embraces the art in the community, a good feeling, and it was something just that we really wanted to keep going," said Sheana Smith, Adams County CVB executive director.

Smith said they don't take attendance, but a steady stream of shoppers were at the park for most of the day.
