Nebraska's Attorney Generalhas issued a warning to residents about phone scams. These suspicious calls arerelated to computer technical support.
Attorney General JonBruning said in a release Friday that his office has recently received multiplereports about individuals calling residents and falsely claiming to representMicrosoft Corp.
The individuals claimto be technical support professionals. They call homeowners with a warning ofan imminent security threat to a personal or business computer.
The caller then triesto get sensitive information stored on the computer.
Bruning advisedresidents to never provide access to a personal or business computer to peoplethey don't know.
