      Overnight Caramel French Toast

      • 2 Tablespoons light corn syrup

      • ½ c butter

      • 1 c brown sugar

      • 6 eggs

      • 1 ½ c milk

      • 1 tsp vanilla

      • ¼ tsp salt

      • 12 (1 inch) slices of bread (Texas Toast)



      Combine corn syrup, butter & brown sugar in small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer
      approximately 10 minutes (until syrupy). Pour into 9x13 greased pan. Arrange 6 slices of the bread over the caramel mixture. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla & salt; mix well. Pour ½ of the egg mixture over the bread in the pan. Layer remaining bread over the egg mixture. Pour remaining egg mixture over the 2nd layer of bread.


      Chill 8-10 hours. (overnight)
      Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
