Benefit for Craig Thurston , Spaghetti Feed and Silent Auction


A spaghetti feed and silent auction will take place Thursday, Dec. 13 to raise money for Craig Thurston and his family.

Craig was recently diagnosed with stage 4 salivary gland carcinoma and has recently finished chemotherapy and radiation. Funds raised will help cover medical expenses.

The benefit is being held at First Lutheran Church, 3315 Avenue 'G' in Kearney, from 5-8 p.m.

The spaghetti feed is a free-will donation and any money raised will be matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

A silent auction will also be running throughout the event will prizes that include an iPad mini, Holiday Inn room package, Corral boots, and more.

The event will also feature a Husker bowl game raffle. The raffle will have two winners, with each receiving a pair of tickets and a $500 travel voucher. Raffle tickets will be sold one for $5 or six for $20.
