The body of a missing man presumed drowned in an eastern Nebraska lake has been recovered.
Officials say members of the Platte County Dive & Rescue team pulled the body of Jorge Manuel out of the water on Monday.
Authorities say an angler reported that the 24-year-old Madison man and his family were on the south side of Lake North near Columbus when Manuel went into the water and didn't resurface.
Officials responded to the 911 call around 8 p.m. Saturday. Platte County Sheriff Jon Zavadil says the lake was blocked off while his deputies spent hours on Saturday evening and Sunday searching for the body.
A helicopter and divers were called in on Monday to aid in the search after poor weather conditions made searching through those means impossible on Sunday.
