TAYLOR, Neb. (AP) -- A bridge project is expected to slow travelers on a stretch of U.S. Highway 183 in central Nebraska.
The Nebraska Roads Department says the work is scheduled to begin the week of April 29 on the highway bridge over the North Loup River. The bridge sits just north of Taylor.
Concrete paving approaches on the south end of the bridge will be replaced.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane, and motorists from one direction will have to yield to motorists on the bridge. The load width will be restricted to 12 feet.
The work is expected to be finished by June 15.
