A variety of Valentine mylarballoons will be for sale throughout the counties of Hall, Hamilton, Howard andMerrick from Monday, February 11, through Thursday, February 14. All proceeds will go to the Crisis Center,Inc.
Balloons are priced $2 forindividual, $3 for a pair.Participating retail locations include numerous Pump & Pantrylocations, Bosselman I-80 Travel Center, First PresbyterianChurch of St Paul, Heritage Bank of Wood River, Pinnacle Bank ofPalmer, and the following Grand Island businesses: Pumpers, PrincipalFinancial, J-Boys, and T-Shirt Engineers.
Balloons will also be available at the Crisis Center office from 9a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Crisis Center is committed tothe safety and empowerment of victims and survivors of domestic violence andsexual assault by providing safe shelter, advocacy, education, and buildingstronger families and promoting a safer community. In 2011 the Crisis Center sheltered 98adults and 105 kids, assisted with 142 protection orders, provided advocacy to522 kids, and provided face-to-face advocacy to 1,495 adults.
