Cat Recovering After Being Shot with Arrow in Omaha

A shocking case of animal abuse has spurred a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever shot an arrow into a cat in Omaha.

A man called animal control officers for help on Wednesday afternoon when he found the wounded cat in the yard of his east-central Omaha home.

The officers took the cat, which underwent an operation to remove the arrow. The cat survived the operation and is recovering at the Nebraska Humane Society.

The Society doesn't know who owns the cat but said it is a dark-colored, domestic long-haired, neutered male that's about a year old.
