Hastings –W.T. "Chip" Essex of Hastings and Jay Trofholz of Columbus are the two newestmembers of the Central Community College Foundation Board of Directors.
Essexrecently retired as planned giving coordinator of the CCC Foundation, aposition he had served in for four years. He previously was regional trustmanager for Wells Fargo and various other banks for more than 30 years.
Essexearned an associate's degree in business from National College in Rapid City,S.D. and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University ofNebraska-Kearney. He also completed the U.S. Army Finance School at Ft.Benjamin in Harrison, Ind., and the National Trust School at NorthwesternUniversity.
Acurrent member of the Lochland Country Club Golf Committee and the Warren &Velda Wilson Foundation Board, he and his wife, Vonda, have two grown sons andfour grandchildren.
Trofholzretired in 2010 from the Optometric Center of Columbus P.C., where he hadworked as an optometrist since 1980. He graduated from Creighton University andthe University of Houston's College of Optometry.
Currently,Trofholz serves the Center for Survivors Endowment as a board member. He isalso an Elks Trustee and a First National Bank board member.
Heand his wife, Jeanine, have four grown children and two grandchildren.
