The board took the action Monday on Candace Conradt. The district will pay Conradt a total of $142,000 over 12 months, beginning in July. Her resignation becomes effective June 30.
Board President Dale Palser says Conradt's original contract was supposed to last through 2016, but the board previously negotiated a year off the duration.
Uproar followed the April 2013 firing of high school football coach Darin Garfield. District residents concerned about the firing and other issues pushed for Conradt's ouster and in January successfully recalled a school board member.
