      Charity Fun Shoot to Raise Money for Grand Island's Hope Harbor

      Hope Harbor is hosting its 5th Charity Fun Shoot on Saturday, June 8 at the Heartland Public Shooting Park west of Grand Island to raise money for the organization.

      Corporate teams and individuals will be allowed to compete for prizes and trophies. There will also be extra events to help make the day even more fun according to Rhonda Smallwood, Hope Harbor development director.

      There will be opportunities for those wanting to try 3D archery and a special event featuring a unique 410 handgun. Smallwood says it will be "lots of fun for everyone and an opportunity for great prizes."

      Registration is $250 for a three member corporate team and $55 for individuals who register early.

      Registration opens at the event at 7:30 a.m. with shooting events running from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

      In addition to a raffledrawing for a variety of items at the event, there is a special rafflefor a pair of Swarovski SLC 10x42 Binoculars valued at over $2,400.00. Tickets for the special raffle can bepurchased in advance at Hope Harbor, GI Loan Shop, Boops Shooter's Supply orComputer Concepts for $10 each or 6 for $50 and participants need not be present to win.
