      Chocolate Peppermint Creme Trifle



      • 1 box Chocolate Fudge cake mix

      • 2 boxes Jello Chocolate Mousse

      • chocolate syrup

      • mint chocolate candies (broken into small pieces)

      • white chocolate peppermint bark (broken into small pieces)

      • chocolate covered mint wafer cookies (broken into small pieces)

      • cherries and mint leaves for garnish


      Vanilla Creme:



      • 1 cup butter

      • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening

      • 14 oz. marshmellow creme

      • 2 tsp. vanilla

      • 1/2 tsp. salt

      • 2 cups powdered sugar

      • 1/2 tsp. Peppermint extract


      Prepare cake and mousse according to directions on box. Cut cooled cake into small cubes. Put vanilla creme and mousse into separate pastry bags. (Use a gallon size bag and cut the bottom corner off)


      To assemble the trifle:



      • 1st layer: Cake cubes-drizzle with chocolate syrup

      • 2nd layer: Vanilla creme

      • 3rd layer: Chocolate mint candy pieces

      • 4th layer: Chocolate Mousse

      • 5th layer: White chocolate peppermint bark pieces

      • 6th layer: Chocolate Cake-drizzle with chocolate syrup

      • 7th layer: Chocolate Mousse

      • 8th layer: Chocolate Mint cookie pieces

      • 9th layer: Vanilla Creme/Cool Whip


      Garnish with any of the candies or cookies or make holly berries/leaves out of cherries and mint leaves.
