"There's something for everyone from the little children to the older folks and it's a good time to show their competitive spirit," said owners Dixie and Duanne Gaedke.
Opened alongside Interstate 80 in 1981, Cody Go-Karts has something for the entire family
from of course the go-karts to bumper boats to water slides.
"We got tired of wearing a suit all day and we wanted to be outside and we saw the need for family entertainment in the North Platte area," said Dixie and Duanne.
You can even play tic-tac-toe against a chicken, or if you're scared of being beat by a bird, maybe mini golf is for you. Many of its employees even get hooked on the summer fun.
"You get to be outside all day, interact with the customers and have fun with them, you get
to ride the rides all day," employee Derek Smith said.
But the fun isn't ending, as the park looks to expand the golf course in a couple of years with a new state of the art playing area.
"We are building a 22 hole mini golf, built on three different levels. We've put a lot of effort into the design of that," the Gaedkes said.
But no matter what you do at the park, it's all about having a good time with the family no matter if you're there all day or just taking a break from the road.
"They kind of remind us our own kids when they were little and the grandkids and it's fun to
see them having fun."
Open now through labor day be sure to drive on over to Cody Go-Karts and bring out your inner speed demon.

Kody Go-Karts is open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day.
