Daisies for Diana Aimed at Raising Child Abuse Awareness

A young child named Diana Molina died a tragic, unnecessary death twelve years ago as a result of child abuse.

To honor her and all children that suffer from abuse and neglect, the Association for Child Abuse Prevention is selling daisies. Each bunch comes wrapped and tied with a blue ribbon and pinwheel. The cost of a bunch is $5.

Pinwheels have been included as part of the NE Children's Foundation's Pinwheels for Prevention campaign.

The last day for ordering flowers will be Monday, April 8 at 4 p.m. Flower orders can be picked up on April 17-19 from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Central NE Community Services, 2525 Lincoln Hwy.

For more information, call Verna Haberman at 308-384-7261 after 5 p.m. or Heather Cline Ford at 308-385-5500 during the day.
