The Nebraska State Patrol says two people from Doniphan were arrested for possession of methamphetamine after law enforcement responded to a fire at their home.

Sgt. Jeff Roby says the arrests of Charles Dice, 41, and his wife Candice Dice, 25, were unrelated to the fire which the Nebraska State Fire Marshal's office is investigating.

The fire happened at the Dice residence just south of the Interstate 80/South Locust Street interchange.

The Dices were taken to the Hall County Jail.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office is also involved.
