Family Business Brings Antique Finds to G.I.

A family-run business is trying to bring big city flea market finds to central Nebraska.

Cameo Grayek said her mother - after being a dealer for years - started running shows twenty years ago.

Then, Grayek said, there weren’t many places in central Nebraska to show.

Now she's taken over the family business, which runs six shows a year.

That includes the fourth annual Grand Island Antique Market, held Saturday and Sunday.

"It allows the collectors from the smaller communities to come out and be able to buy, look, touch, feel, you know, versus having to travel off to Lincoln or Omaha," said Grayek.

She said she's happy with the turnout despite a windy weekend for outside vendors.

Her next show is in Lexington.
