Favorable Weather Puts Corn Harvest in Full Swing
Now with a stretch of clear skies this last week, farmers were really able to get a lot of work in out on the fields.
Corn harvest is in full swing and with the weather now dry and favorable; areas farmers have been putting in long hours to get the job done.
Wet weather for the past few weeks has impacted harvest for many area framers.
But Upland farmer Bob Soucie says they've had a pretty easy go of it this harvest season.
"The weather's kind of been pretty favorable for us. We haven't had very many break downs which helps. So it's going pretty good," he says.
Harvest will continue for through the next couple of weeks for many area farmers.
Added semi and tractor activity can be expected on many of those rural highways.
