A grass fire slowed traffic on Highway 30 near Wood River Tuesday afternoon.

Departments from Wood River and Alda spent about an hour and a half knocking down the fire near 80th Road.
Wood River fire officials said they believe it was either started by a spark from the nearby railroad track or a cigarette.
They said about a 500 foot area of grass was burned.
