According the GasBuddy's daily survey of gas outlets across Nebraska, average gas prices fill 3.1 cents over the past week.
On Sunday, the average price of gas in Nebraska was $3.56 per gallon. That's lower than the national average price of $3.61 per gallon.
With last week's decrease in prices, Sunday's cost of gas was 29.3 cents lower than this time last year and 15.9 cents lower than this time last month.
GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says it is rare for gas prices at the end of March to be lower than the beginning of the month. He said, "For the first time in a decade gasoline prices are going to be lower at the end of March than the beginning. GasBuddy data shows that the last time this happened was in 2003 when prices fell a nickle between the start of the month and the conclusion."
