GI Police Urging Residents to Regularly Check Storage Units, Report Suspicious Activity
The Grand Island Police Department is urging residents to check in on their rented storage units on a regular basis as reports of these types of burglaries are on the rise.
GIPD suggests using high quality, shrouded-style padlocks to keep storage units protected. However, they say items that hold sentimental value or are worth a significant amount of money should be kept at home or somewhere safer.
The department also asks that any suspicious activity at or near storage facilities be reported to the police.
