GI School Alerted as Police Search Nearby Home for Burglary Clues

Grand Island police may have cracked the case into a recent rash of robberies, with a familiar suspect back behind bars.

A Grand Island elementary school was alerted Wednesday, as police executed a search warrant in the neighborhood, as they look for evidence connected to the recent crime spree.
Police surrounded a home at the corner of Broadwell and North Front Street, just blocks from Jefferson Elementary School.
Officers would only say they were executing a search warrant, and said they would issue a press release on Thursday.
However, NTV has obtained court records that show police also searched the home a few weeks ago.
During that search of 1622 W. North Front, they recovered lots of electronics, jeans, jewelry, and drugs.
A resident of the home that was searched on Wednesday was arrested last month in connection with burglary.
Richard Jarman had since bonded out of jail. However, jail records show he was booked back into jail on Wednesday.
Grand Island had nearly 20 burglary reports just last weekend.
