GI Teacher Accused of Buying Alcohol for Former Student

A Grand Island teacher and coach is out on bond after being arrested on suspicion of buying alcohol for a minor.

The Columbus Telegram reports that 30-year-old Aaron Sasges was arrested Saturday in Butler County.

Sasges was pulled over and was asked to take a sobriety test, at which point an 18-year-old girl approached the vehicle claiming to be one of his former students.

The girl was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.

Sasges is set to appear in court on March 21.

He teaches and coaches cross country at Grand Island Northwest High School.
