GIPS Holds Informational Meetings on Proposed Bond

Information sessions on Grand Island Public School's proposed bond drew small crowds Tuesday night.

Stolley Park and Shoemaker Elementaries both brought in about 15 people. No one showed up at Barr Middle School's open house on the issue.

At Stolley, area residents voiced their concerns primarily over traffic. One woman asked why the school and city weren't working together on road plans.

The $69.9 million bond would fund projects at seven G.I. schools.

Mail-in ballots should be arriving in mail boxes this week.
