A Grand Island man has been jailed on multiple charges, including robbery, but not without incident.
Danny Garcia, 25, was booked on three counts Wednesday night for a crime that took place the night before.
Police Capt. Dean Elliott said Garcia had been drinking at a house with friends. Officers say Garcia struck a man with a gun as he stole several firearms.
The victim didn't report the crime until the following morning, on Wednesday.
Later that day, officers tried to arrest Garcia during a traffic stop, but they say he bailed out of his car.
Elliott said Garcia then ran into his home, where he was finally taken into custody.
According to the Hall County Department of Corrections jail log, the possible charges include robbery, felony avoiding arrest and obstructing a police officer.
