Grand Island Man Gets Prison for Sexual Assault of Stepdaughters

A 40-year-old Grand Island man has been sentenced to six to eight years in prison for sexually assaulting his two stepdaughters.

The man was sentenced Monday after he pleaded no contest to two sexual assault counts. Prosecutors dropped a third charge in exchange for his plea.

Prosecutors say he began assaulting the two girls, now 9 and 13 years old in 2008.

The man's name is not being used to protect the privacy of the victims.
