The Grand Island Police Department is teaming up with Cold Stone Creamery to raise money for its K-9 unit.

Robbie, one of the department's canines, is retiring after serving for over eight years. The department says they need another service dog to replace Robbie, but don't currently have the money in the budget.

The fundraiser will take place at the Cold Stone located at 206 Wilmar Ave. in Grand Island on June 17 from 5 to 10 p.m. Cold Stone Creamery offers ice cream, shakes, smoothies and more.

Robbie and other service dogs will be at the event.
