Hamilton Co. Crews Respond to 3 Fires in 4 Hours Monday


Hamilton County fire crews kept busy Monday with three fire reported in four hours.
The first closed an eastbound lane of Interstate 80 for two and a half hours.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said a semi with hot wheels ignited his load of grain and the south ditch near Giltner around 11:00 p.m.
It took Giltner and Aurora departments about three hours to put out the fire.
Later, officials said Giltner responded to a ditch and field fire one mile west of town on Sixth Road around 1:45 p.m.
That fire was quickly put out.
Then Aurora was dispatched to a ditch fire on 16 Road between H and J Roads around 3:30 p.m.
That fire was also quickly extinguished.
No cause has been released yet on those fires.
