      Hastings Man Given Over 5 Years Behind Bars for Meth Distribution

      A Hastings man has been given more than five years in prison for helping to distribute methamphetamine.

      U.S. District Court Judge John Gerrard sentenced Ruben Manzano to 70 months in prison. In addition, he will have to serve two years of supervised release once he completes his sentence, as well as pay a $100 special assessment.

      Manzano pleaded guilty on February 26 to conspiring to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine between May and October 2012.
