The bond aims to provide improvements to five elementary schools in the district, with the current sixth elementary school possibly being repurposed for something else.
Most of the improvements would occur in the schools' infrastructures and getting each building up to code. Three of the district's elementary schools are without air conditioning, something school officials also hope to address with the bond's passage.
The school's superintendent says the elementary school buildings had reached the end of their life cycle.
Work is expected to begin this year with additions completed by the time school starts in 2020.
