A 25-year-old Hershey man has been sentenced to five years of probation and 180 days in jail for his role in a fatal crash near Sutherland last year.

Micah Koch was sentenced for motor vehicle homicide on Monday. Earlier this year, Koch had pleaded no contest to the charge as part a deal with prosecutors.

According to authorities, Koch was drunk when he crashed a pickup on Jan. 27, 2013. A passenger, 24-year-old Korey Huebner, was injured in the crash and later died. Another passenger, Jay Shotkoski, was also hurt. Prosecutors dropped a drunken-driving charge against Koch in exchange for his plea.
