Two years ago, a bacteria attacked Grayson Popple's bloodstream causing him to get three blood transfusions.
Saturday's drive is the family's way to remind donors that their gift of life does help someone in their community.
"I have pictures of my son over there when he was sick and people look at those when they come in," said Grayson's mom Ashley Popple. "And I think just seeing those and them going to give blood, they kind of think about that as they're giving blood and you can kind of get a visual of who your blood goes to."
This is the second year of the drive, bringing in 41 units of blood. They plan to continue it as an annual event.
