      House Fire in Rural York County Destroys Home

      One house was destroyed by a fire in rural York county last night.


      According to Bradshaw Fire Chief Todd Hellerich, crews responded to the call around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

      The fire was discovered by the homeowner in the kitchen. He was able to escape without injury.

      Three area fire departments were also called in to help including York, Hampton and Henderson.

      Crews were on the scene until about 1:15 a.m. but were called back an hour later after it rekindled.

      The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
