Irish Zaba

  • 3 large egg yolks

  • 2 tbs powdered sugar

  • 2 tbs Irish Mist

  • 1 tbs Amaretto

  • 8 oz. Marscapone

  • 1/4 cup cold water

  • 2 tbs coffee liqueur

  • 1 tbs instant coffee powder

  • 12 lady fingers in 1/3"'s

  • 1 oz. square grated milk chocolate


Combine egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and beat with KitchenAide paddle until thick and pale yellow, about 5 minutes. Gradually beat in 1 tbs each of the Irish Mist and Amaretto. Add the Marscapone and continue beating until smooth and well blended, 3 minutes.


Separately in a bowl combine the water, coffee, liqueur, instant coffee and remaining 1 tbs Irish Mist. Put 3 Lady Finger sections in bottom of six 12 oz. cool looking glasses.


Sprinkle fingers with 1/2 tbs of coffee mixture. Spoon sufficient amount of cheese mixture to fill each goblet 1/2 way up. Sprinkle about 1/12th of grated chocolate.


Repeat:



  • 3 pieces of Lady Fingers

  • 1/3 tbs coffee mixture

  • cheese mixture almost to the top

  • grated chocolate last


Cover and Fridge.
