Judge Sievers to Leave Nebraska Appeals Court
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Judge Richard Sievers has announced that he's leaving the Nebraska Appeals Court.
He said Monday in a news release that his last day would be May 31.
Sievers, of Lincoln, was one of the first judges on the Appeals Court when it started operations in January 1992.
He obtained his law degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1972, after graduating with a bachelor's from what was then Kearney State College in 1969. Before joining the court he had a private law practice in Lincoln.
