Judges Selected for Harvest of Harmony Pageant


Three judges have been selected to participate in the upcoming Harvest of Harmony Pageant.

The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday that Venus King, Matthew Armstrong and Melissa Griffith will be judges for the pageant.

King is the executive director of College Park at Grand Island. She also serves on the Child Advocacy Center Board, YWCA Board and Cedar Hollow PTO.

Armstrong is a financial advisor with Edward Jones. He is president of the Grand Island Noon Rotary Club.

Griffith has worked as the director of marketing at Conestoga Mall for the past 12 years. She is chair of the Saint Francis Foundation Board, secretary of the College Park Board, and serves with many other community organizations.

The Chamber's Miss Harvest of Harmony Pageant will take place on Friday, Oct. 3 at College Park. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the evening pageant program, which includes the coronation and dessert reception. Pageant tickets are $8 and can be purchased in advance at the Chamber of Commerce, 309 West Second Street, Grand Island.

The judges will select five finalists, including Miss Harvest of Harmony.
