Coryell Found Guilty in Oberlin, Kansas Murder
The jury has returned a verdict for a Kansas man accused of murdering another in the small town of Oberlin, Kansas in October of 2011.
Dylan Coryell was found guilty of second degree murder and aggravated battery Wednesday for the shooting death of Cory Cook. Prosecutors say Coryell barged into Cook's home on the night of October 15, 2011 and used a shotgun to kill him.
Coryell was originally charged with first-degree premeditated murder, aggravated battery and aggravated burglary, but had some charges dismissed on Tuesday.
His sentencing has been scheduled for June 17.
