The Easter bunny arrives early, as a Kearney organization helps families create new holiday traditions.
It was a hopping good time at the Kearney Children's Museum's Egg–stravaganza. This pre–Easter event has become a tradition in the community, growing from about 100 participants to over 600 in just four years.
Organizers say it's a great way for families to come together and make new memories.
"It's just important because any chance we can bring everyone together in celebration and enjoy something like this, that's important to the museum," said executive director Tara Knuth. "We have wonderful support from community, but events like this kinda bring everyone together at once."
Thursday's event included a petting zoo, photos with the Easter bunny, and of course, an Easter egg hunt on the south lawn.
