Kearney residents spoke their minds on Tuesday night at a public hearing about how to spend the half cent sales tax.

Since 2005 the city has seen projects like the public library and senior center built from the tax. In the fiscal year of 2014 there's an estimated $3.6 million dollars gained from the tax.

A recent UNK college graduate spoke out and brought up the issue about filling the plot of land where project edge was supposed to be built. He also wanted Kearney to be a place where jobs for recent college graduates thrived.

Another projects brought up was a white water attraction where people can go kayaking and would help to beautify the city.

Another man talked about keeping up with the skatepark.

The next few years will be packed with projects mostly focused on Kearney's infrastructure.
