Kearney City Council Results

Three spots were open on the Kearney City Council with two incumbents running. They both got their seats back with Jonathan Nikkila taking the other seat.

The results are as follows:

Jim Bunger released a statement Wednesday morning saying, "I would like to thankall of the other candidates who ran for city council. It goes to show thatevery one of us cares about our city and its citizens very deeply.

"I may have not been able to make it onto the city council at this time, butplease know that I will be continuing to fight for the working class citizensof the city of Kearney."

He goes on to say that he will serve on board in Kearney that works to help low to middle income families.

"I appreciate every last vote thatwas cast today whether it was for me or not and I wish to congratulate thosewho have been elected," said Bunger.
