Kearney Class to Learn More About Agriculture with Weekly Lessons
Fourth graders at Buffalo Hills Elementary in Kearney are learning about this agriculture industry during the month of November.
Buffalo County Extension associate Kerry Elsen will be speaking to the students each week about different aspects of the agriculture industry, such as explaining why ag is important and where our food comes from.
For the first lesson, the students learned about how much of the Earth is devoted to agriculture as well as the different forms it takes.
Next, the kids will get a chance to make mini-pizzas and discuss where each of the ingredients is grown.
