Kearney Educator Wins NTV's December Outstanding Teacher Award

As NTV's Outstanding Teacher award kicks off a new semester of the 2013–2014 school year, it's all cheers and happiness as Kenwood Elementary's fourth grade teacher Megan Buerer received not one, but two nominations for this award.

Both students wrote in without the other knowing, saying her demeanor makes learning fun and easy for the class.

"She smiles, she's new and she feels like she's been here forever. She lets us do experiments and never yells at us, no, never yells, that's the best part...yes!." said students Carleigh Eurek and Dreidyn Cabanting.

"It's always been my thing with my mom, and my aunt and my grandma," said Kenwood Elementary's Megan Buerer. "They're all educators so I always knew this is what I wanted to do."

Congratulations to Mrs. Buerer NTV's Outstanding Teacher award, presented by our own Kent Boughton.
