Kearney HeartChase is taking place Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at UNK in an effort to promote healthy living in the community.
Cardiovascular disease and stroke are America's number one and number four killers, something that can be greatly reduced by healthy living and exercise. This is why Good Samaritan Hospital is presenting the American Heart Association's HeartChase in Kearney.
HeartChase is a community event that looks to provide fun ways to promote healthy living in the community. The event combines excitement from shows such as The Amazing Race and wacky team-based games such as Minute to Win It.
The entry fee to participate is $50 per person; teams must be made up of 2-5 players with at least one smartphone. The deadline to register and get a T-shirt is Oct. 4.
