A Kearney man charged with attemptedarson has agreed to a plea deal.
Brad Gladwell pleaded no contest in BuffaloCounty District Court Friday morning. In exchange the state will recommendprobation instead of jail time.
Gladwell was arrested in January afterpolice responded to a strong smell of gas at his residence. Furtherinvestigation found that Gladwell poured gasoline on the top floor of his houseand was planning to set it on fire.
His two roommates were sleeping insideat the time.
