A Friday afternoon hit-and-run call brought the police to the Kearney Target parking lot.
At 2:44 p.m. the Kearney Police Department was called to Target to investigate a reported hit and run accident involving a pedestrian.
Further investigation and video tape revealed that the suspect driver of the pickup actually drove by the victim and grabbed her purse. This swung the victim around and threw her to the ground.
The suspect drove away with the victim's purse in his vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a red 1988 to 1989 Ford Pickup, with chrome running boards, chrome handle on the driver's side door and a black bed liner.
The tailgate has FORD written in white across it.
The victim received minor injuries and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.
